When the summer is over, the Pyrenees become a winter wonderland. Incredibly beautiful, the area is turned into a haven for winter sports.  Cross country skiing is one of the favourite pastimes and the area is home to the majority of Spain's ski resorts.  There are companies specialising in ski and cross country skiing in the Pyrenees.  The resorts are smaller than those found in the better known skiing areas of France Austria and Switzerland but all facilities are available for a fantastic holiday.
