Angling holidays in Spain

Angling holidays in Spain have become extremely popular in recent years. The combination of excellent fishing, combined with warm weather makes Spain the ideal destination for an angling holiday.  The region of Navarre is home to some superb rivers, the best fly fishing for brown trout,  probably being in the river Irati.  The Irati flows from the French Pyrenees into the Navarre region, through many small villages.  This area would make an ideal location for a fly fishing holiday. It was mentioned by the author Ernest Hemmingway who fished there in the 1920's.  There are an increasing number of companies  specialising in angling holidays to this area of Spain.  They will normally arrange all the permits and licenses required and take you to the best spots,  leaving you free to enjoy the fishing.  Accommodation can be simple b&b or hotel.
