Not the most prolific wine producing region.  There are a total of 39 vineyards in the province of Madrid growing 30,000 tons of grapes annually. The D.O Vinos de Madrid have been gaining in popularity, this wine from the south of the region has been getting some rave reviews but outside Madrid, you'll have difficulty finding it.
