Pontevedra is one
of the provinces of Galicia the capital is the city of Pontevedra.
The city of Pontevedra has an old town which is typically Galician
with a network of cobbled streets and small arcaded squares
and balconies decked out with an assortment of flowers. This
is where to sit and have a coffee as the world passes by.
Around the squares are tapas bars, restaurants and a variety of
shops. One of the best museums in Galicia is the Museo de
Pontevedra where you can see some important artefacts like gold
toques and bracelets from the Celtic Bronze age. In addition
there is a collection of paintings by Alfonso Castelao a 20th
century Galician artist.
