As in most areas of Spain, fiestas
play an important role in the region of Galicia. Most fiestas
take place in the province of Pontevedre there are also fiestas in
the provinces of Ourense, Lugo and La Coruña.
There are too many
fiestas to list here in any detail but they include fiestas of
lampreys, trout, wine, the Vikings, clams, cheese, octopus, peppers,
lobsters etc etc. These are in addition to numerous Saints
days. In fact any excuse to let of some bangers, eat and drink
is what fiestas are all about.
