Vic is a market
town which was once the capital of an Iberian tribe known as the
Ausetans. The Gothic Plaza Mayor is the location for the town's
market which is held every Tuesday and Saturday. The region's
famous sausage "embotits" are piled high on some of the market
stalls. The remains of a Roman temple are still visible.
The 18th century cathedral. The interior walls of the
cathedral are adorned with vast murals depicting biblical scenes.
They were painted by Joseph Maria Sert.
