MONTBLANC

Montblanc is a medieval city founded by King Alfonso in 1163. The city walls are considered to be amongst the best examples of medieval architecture in Catalonia.  The city is famous for the Festival of St Jordi in which human castles are built.  This is a popular spectacle bringing in visitors from around the region.
