Founded in 1277
the resort town of Palamos is situated towards the southern
end of the Costa Brava. Whitewashed houses front the beautiful
harbour area, a great place for a seafood meal at one of the local
restaurants. The old town has retained much of its original
charm. The town still has a thriving fishing industry and has
the largest port in the province of Girona. The resort has a
long sandy beach which becomes quite crowded during the summer
months.
