Not far from the
border with France, Cadaques is a popular town unspoiled by over
development and mass tourism. Development in the town has been
carried out sympathetically and new buildings blend easily with the
original. Cadaques overlooks a beautiful bay dotted with
boats. Over the years, the town has been a favourite haunt for
some of the world's most famous artists, including Picasso, Salvador
Dali and Matisse. Cadeques has an elegant charm, not found in
the busy resorts. Fishing boats line the small quayside, a
perfect place to relax with a coffee and watch the world go by.
