Blanes is what
could be described as a "Spanish" resort, it is very popular with
Spanish tourists. This resort is relaxed and a million miles away
from its neighbour
Lloret de Mar a few miles to
the north. Although
much of the town has been developed with apartment blocks,
its history as a fishing
village is still apparent with some of the original whitewashed
houses still lining the shoreline.
