Take a trip to
Barcelona and one of the first things you'll notice is the amount of
Gaudi architecture. The whole city is like a museum devoted to
the works of Gaudi. The most famous Gaudi landmark is the
famous unfinished Cathedral, the Sagrada Família, it is also his
final resting place. This magnificent creation was
started in 1882 and is not expected to be completed for at least
another thirty years.

Gaudi was born in
Taragona in the province of Taragonia Catalonia in 1852. Much of his
life was spent in Barcelona where some of his most impressive
creations can be found.

His unique
architectural style is a blend of curves and colours unlike any
other. The term gaudy comes from Gaudi's work. His style
is not universally appreciated, you either love it or hate it.
