The history of
Guadalajara Spain is somewhat lost in what is now a modern town.
There are however a few exceptions, notably the Palacio de los
Duques del Inantado. This fantastic building was built between the
14th and 17th centuries by the Mendoza dynasty. It is one of
the finest examples of Gothic architecture to be found anywhere in
Spain. The main facade is covered with intricate carvings.
Guadalajara is located approximately sixty kilometers north east of
Madrid.
