ANGLING IN CASTILE AND LEON

Angling holidays in Spain are becoming increasingly popular. Although Castile and Leon is not noted for its fishing, there are some excellent trout rivers especially in the more northerly provinces near the borders of Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria. Angling holidays are available in parts of Spain, notably in the river Ebro, where huge catfish and carp are frequently caught.  Combining a fishing holiday with a general tour of the area would probably be the best  option. Licenses are required throughout Spain.
