Nestled below a 12th century castle, Aguila de Campoo in the province of Palencia is a fine example of Castile and Leon's Romanesque heritage. There is an attractive arcaded square surrounded by  houses which seem to be made up of nothing but windows and the 14th century church of San Miguel which contains a fascinating museum.
