Angling holidays
in Spain are becoming increasingly popular. The Cantabrian mountains
are the source of Spain's largest river the Ebro. There is
some excellent fishing in the Ebro but on the lower reaches.
Many companies offer carp and catfish angling holidays on the Ebro
in the region of Aragon. Cantabria itself isn't noted for its
angling although there are some rivers offering fly fishing for
brown trout and the Rio Áson in the northwest of the region is a
salmon river which is also well known for its eels. Sea
angling is available off the Cantabrian coast and boats are
available for hire in some areas . Neighbouring Asturias is a better
region for angling holidays.
