Playa de La Americas is Tenerife's answer to Benidorm on the Costa
Blanca, Torremolinos on the Costa del Sol or Magaluf in Majorca.
this is the island's nightlife hotspot. People don't come here
for peace and quiet but to party the night away in one of the many
clubs and discos. Primarily, Playa de las Americas is for the young.
If you are looking for an area for peace and relaxation try Puerto
de la Cruz, this place isn't for the fainthearted.

Holidays In
Playa De Las Americas
The most popular
holidays in Playa de las Americas are without doubt the package tour
including flight and hotel. There are plenty hotels and
finding one to fit the bill shouldn't be difficult. Most
hotels these days have buffets instead of set meals. Some have
an amazing array of meat and seafood and you can eat as
much as you like. Obviously, the more you pay for your hotel,
the better the choice. With Tenerife having a year round mild
climate, winter holidays are especially popular and over Christmas
many hotels are booked up. This year may be different as the
credit crunch and rising prices at home start to bite but if
you're considering going, I wouldn't leave it too late to book.
There are a number of online travel operators offering packages to
Tenerife. One of the biggest is Thomson Holidays, who as well
as doing packages, also offer hotel only and flight only deals.
Thomson Holidays like 99% of all the tour operators are offering
some big discounts at the moment. If you check out their
Tenerife page here
you
can get an idea of the way prices are going. You can bet that
all the tour operators are reviewing their prices on a daily basis
and although I wouldn't normally advocate leaving anything to the
last minute, I have a gut feeling that this year, prices are going
to tumble. Another option for a holiday in Tenerife, is
booking a self catering apartment direct from the property owners.
Over the past couple of years, this has become increasingly popular.
Don't just accept the advertised prices, be a bit cheeky and see if
you can negotiate some discount. Don't forget that the
apartment owners are feeling the pinch as well, so in many
cases will be happy to accept a reduced offer. You can find
some apartments to rent on our website
here. You'll need to
organise your own flight. |
