The coast of the Basque Country is called the Costa Vasca.  It stretches 176kms with a varying backdrop of rugged cliffs alternating with woods.  There are hidden coves and sandy beaches .  Small fishing villages dot the coast with a couple of resort towns, notably Zerautz with large beaches and elegant houses.   The fishing port of Lekeitio is a pretty town with old Basque houses lining the seafront.  In the port of Bermeo there is a fishery museum. The coast is home to a number of seafood restaurants serving typical Basque dishes.
