The Basque country
has some decent fly fishing in the mountain streams and rivers
mostly for brown trout. The area is renowned for its
seafood and good beach fishing is available all along the Costa
Vasca. There are companies specialising in angling holidays in
the north of Spain including the Basque country. Fishing
holidays in Spain are a thriving business in some areas.
The river Ebro, Spain's largest river is noted for its carp and
catfish fish. As with most other regions of Spain, a license
is required for game and course fishing. Licenses are usually
