Menorca or
Minorca, is the second largest of the Balearic Islands it is
also the furthest west and is somewhat out on a limb. The
Island's capital is
Maó or
Mahón, an elegant port town
full of historic buildings. The island's airport is also in
Mahón. Menorca is far quieter than the other two
main islands
Majorca and
Ibiza. It has become
known as a family orientated holiday resort and has is very popular
with families from the UK and throughout Europe. Menorca
has a nice laid back feel, lots of sandy beaches and quiet coves.
The island also has a lot of history and there are some
important ancient remains on the island including Taliots and
Navetas, stone buildings dating back thousands of years. Use the
