Puerto Pollensa is an up market resorts in the northeast of Majorca.  There are some beautiful private villas in the surrounding area and many fantastic shops bars and restaurants. The bay is idyllic when the sunshine dapples the sea and reflects back on to the  yachts and fishing boats bobbing around.  A coffee at a table overlooking the bay is just perfect.     Pollensa is a laid back luxury resort not a place for wild nightlife, so don't go there expecting a rave up.  The old Roman town of Pollenca is about 5kms inland from the coast and well worth the visit.  To get to Puerto Pollensa the cheapest option would probably be to rent a car at the airport.  Pollensa is one of the furthest resorts from the airport so a taxi would be pricey and besides, there are so many places to explore that a car is a must.  It is possible these days to create your own holiday by booking a flight and hotel online without going through a travel agent.
