What better way of exploring the beautiful island of Majorca than by car.  Renting a car in Majorca is cheap and easy.  If you are staying over 50kms from the airport for a week, it usually works out cheaper to rent a car, than it does to use a taxi to get to the resort and back. Car rental is fun, the cars are normally new or with only a low mileage.  Car rental companies tend to use the most reliable makes available.  Most hire cars come with power steering, abs, stereo systems etc to make your driving experience as pleasurable as possible. Don't be put off hiring a car in Majorca because you haven't driven on the right hand side before. Just remember that you (the driver) should always be nearest to the centre of the road.  That's what I do and its always worked.  Whenever you have any doubt, just think, I should be nearest to the middle of the road and you'll be ok.    There are numerous car hire companies working out of Palma airport including all the main players like Hertz, Easycar, Europacar, Avis etc etc.  Prices are very competitive and some really cheap car hire deals are available, just do a bit of shopping around. When you pick your car up from the airport, check your map before you set off and take it easy.  Being nervous will just make you panic so relax.  If you've looked at the map you should have a rough idea of where your heading and once you get on the main road to the resorts, it should be plain sailing.
