CALA RATJADA

Cala Ratjada is on the northeast tip of Majorca. What was a fishing port is now primarily a holiday resort.  Many day trippers visit Cala Ratjada on one of the Island's boat trips and stay long enough for a drink and a wander around the town before heading back. There is a long sea wall which forms part of the harbour, this is the favourite place for young locals who use it as a launch pad to jump into the sea. Cala Ratjada is a favourite destination for German tourists, who seem to have discovered it before tourists from the UK.  It is only recently that Cala Ratjada has become a mainstream holiday resort.

Hotel Transfers

Getting to your hotel or apartment from Palma airport can be expensive, nowadays a taxi will set you back about 70/80 euros one way which is quite a hefty chunk out of your spends.  If you're anything like me, you'd rather be spending it on a couple of nice meals. Luckily there is an alternative, Resorthoppa have a private shuttle bus service from the airport to your hotel or apartment in Cala Ratjada for only £11.13 each (checked Sept 2008).  If you'd like to see what other people think of the Resorthoppa service, you can read some testimonials here.
