Cala Ratjada is on the northeast tip of Majorca. What was a fishing
port is now primarily a holiday resort. Many day trippers
visit Cala Ratjada on one of the Island's boat trips and stay long
enough for a drink and a wander around the town before heading back.
There is a long sea wall which forms part of the harbour, this is
the favourite place for young locals who use it as a launch pad to
jump into the sea. Cala Ratjada is a favourite destination for
German tourists, who seem to have discovered it before tourists from
the UK. It is only recently that Cala Ratjada has become a
mainstream holiday resort.
