Asturias is another area of Spain which is excellent for walking holidays. Walking holidays in Asturias are extremely popular and some companies specialise in providing all the arrangements for guided or unguided tours, traveling from one hotel to another.  You could choose to walk along some of the beautiful Costa Verde's steep cliffs and sandy bays, exploring coastal villages and seafood restaurants or alternatively, try some of the mountain villages of the Picos de Europa.  Spain is a country of varying scenery offering some fantastic opportunities walkers.   

 

 

Most of Northern Spain is a walker's paradise.  Rolling hills, mountains and a wide variety of wildlife cover the area.  The Pyrenees mountains and especially the Aragon region offer some of the best walking holidays available.

Walking Information

Travelsphere walks require a reasonable level of fitness and ideally some previous walking experience. You will need comfortable walking boots, a small rucksack, waterproofs, a hat and sunglasses. A local guide will also accompany you on your walks.

Grade 2 Walks
These are moderate, for anyone who is comfortable walking hills. Still plenty of time to rest and enjoy the scenery, however up to 5 hours walking a day on slightly more rugged terrain. Ascent less than 500m per day.
