Benasque in Aragon is a lovely Pyrenees village tucked away beneath
the Maladeta massif a rugged mountain. Benasque is full of
narrow cobbled streets flanked by stone houses. The town is popular
with tourists and in Winter is home to winter sports being close to
the neighbouring ski resort of Cerler. The town has grown rapidly
over the years, new buildings have been sympathetically blended with
the old, maintaining the rustic feeling. Benasque has a
population of about 1,300.
