AGUERO
The village of Agüero nestles at the foot of
the Mallos de Riglos, a huge
rocky crag which dominates the area. The eroding reddish pudding
stone frames the village and adds to its picturesque nature. Most
visitors to Agüero are there to see the 12th century Iglesia de
Santiago church which is situated just before the village by the
side of a winding track. This beautiful Romanesque building
has ornately carved arches and a front door carved with biblical
scenes. |
