MIJAS La Cala de Mijas is a nice resort on the Costa del Sol which has retained most of its old charm. Unlike the larger resorts of Torremolinos and Fuengirola, this area is a lot quieter, ideal for a laid back holiday. There are plenty of attractions on offer including horse riding and an aquapark. The old town of Mijas high above the coast, is a beautiful maze of cobbled streets, flanked by whitewashed houses decked with geraniums. There are some fantastic restaurants, pottery shops and up market boutiques. Mijas Village is now visited by many tourists from the busy costal resorts but has managed to maintain much of its old charm.
