FUENGIROLA

Fuengirola is a beach resort a few kilometers south of Benalmadena and Torremolinos.  It has a long promenade flanked by bars and restaurants.  The resort is predominantly English there are lots of bars restaurants and English and Irish pubs.  Rather than a resort catering for younger people, Fuengirola is more popular with young families.  There is plenty entertainment for children including a small fairground and water park.  Most tour operators offer coach trips to places of interest in the area.  Because of the number of golf courses in the area, Fuengirola is a popular base for golfing holidays.
