4 BEDROOM  VILLA CALA SAN ESTEBAN MENORCA

Villa Magdalena is situated in a unique setting above the water's edge in the quiet cove of Cala San Esteban, a stone's throw south of Mahon harbour. Local fishermen moor their boats outside the house where we also have a mooring for those wishing to bring or hire a boat. The mooring will hold a boat approx. 25 ft. long. The only road just serves the neighbouring houses.

This property is spread over 5 small plots, and has many separate areas for outdoor living. The very large covered terrace has seating for 12 and there is another terrace outside the French windows leading out from the lounge. There is the private pool (24'6"x 13'6" or 4m x 7.40m) and terrace, the sun terrace on the rock, as well as the large barbecue terrace with table seating 16. In 2003 we added another small terrace at he end of the property, which is very private and quiet and has beautiful views along the bay. Great when two families are sharing and you want some quiet time away from children in the pool! In 1998 we finally had permission to build our 'fortress' wall down to the road, which improves the neatness to the road and also gave us private parking space for three to four cars just off the road. A boat up to 8m (25ft) can safely be moored on our own mooring just a few steps down from the Villa. The photographs  give just a hint of this beautiful villa.

All our neighbours are Menorquin, and only the occasional tourist ventures down to the bay on their walks. Although there is no beach, it is possible to swim and snorkel in the Cala and there are private steps leading into the water from the villa. The nearest small town, Villa Carlos (Es Castell) with shopping facilities as well as wonderful waterside cafes and restaurants, is 3 minutes away by car. Mahon, the capital of Menorca is approximately 5 minutes drive, and the airport 15 minutes. To drive to the nearest beach, and there are very many to choose from, takes from 5 minutes.  The house is not suitable for toddlers or very young children due to the terrain and we would advise a minimum age of 8, although you would have to use your own discretion.

Mahon airport is 10 minutes drive.
Car hire is recommended. We can arrange this for you if required - the car would await you at the airport and you would settle the charges with Momple direct.
