SAN JUAN San Juan is a growing town a short drive North from Alicante. It is becoming a favourite for people working in Alicante to set up home. A lot of money has been spent on the infrastructure and as it expands, San Juan is going more upmarket. San Juan and its beaches are a favourite weekend destination for many Spaniards living inland from the coast. Although not a tourist resort San Juan could soon rival El Campello and similar Spanish holiday destinations. The sandy beach at San Juan stretches for miles around a large bay.
