San Juan

San Juan is a large and growing area a short drive North from Alicante.  San Juan is close enough to Alicante centre to appeal to commuters many of who enjoy the holiday atmosphere and beach but prefer not to work in the city itself.  A lot of money has been spent on the infrastructure and as it expands, San Juan is going more upmarket.  San Juan and its beaches are a favourite  weekend destination for many Spaniards living inland from the coast.  Although not a tourist resort San Juan could soon rival El Campello and similar Spanish holiday destinations.  The sandy beach at San Juan stretches for miles around a large bay.
