Denia is situated around the headland from Javea and is the main ferry port for the islands of Ibiza and Majorca. Denia town is very busy with a good range of hotels, shops, bars and restaurants. Being a major ferry terminal it is used by travelers from all over Europe and has quite a cosmopolitan feel to it. Along the seafront there are row after row of restaurants. The harbour area stretches a good way along the promenade and is adjacent to the ferry terminal. Denia has a lot of history going back beyond Roman times. Nowadays it's main industry is tourism.
