The Costa Blanca is
Spain's most popular destination for holidaymakers from throughout
Europe. With its mild climate and abundant fruit vegetables and
seafood this area is renowned for being the healthiest place to live
in Europe. The Costa Blanca has many coastal resorts offering a
full range of facilities from the laid back resorts of
Moraira,
Denia and
Javea to the
hustle and bustle of
Benidorm, most tastes are catered for. Self
catering holidays on the Costa Blanca are extremely popular and our
website has a
range of apartments and villas to rent
throughout the area. The Costa Blanca stretches
from Denia in the north to Cabo Roig in the south, the capital is
Alicante.
Spain's largest holiday resort
Benidorm
is approximately 40kms from Alicante.
Inland from the coastal resorts there are mountains and orange groves
with a few isolated villages, this is ideal walking country and there
are companies specialising in
walking holidays in the area.
Torrevieja in the
south of the region is home to thousands of second home owners from
throughout Europe. Apartment prices on this stretch of the Costa
Blanca tend to be cheaper than areas further north and as a
consequence, Torrevieja has grown from small town into an urban
sprawl. The Costa Blanca has more blue flag beaches than any other
area of Spain. Being an important part of the tourist industry
the beaches are immaculately maintained.
The weather in the
Costa Blanca is mild all year round. In July and August the
temperature can reach over 40c. The area around
Javea and Denia to the north, is popular for renting villas.
There are a number of villas and apartments to rent slightly inland
from the towns. Calpe is another area with a large amount of
private villas to rent. Most of these are located on the hills
overlooking Calpe and there are some lovely villas on the coast road
between Calpe and Moraira.

THINGS TO DO ON
THE COSTA BLANCA
Being the most
popular destination in mainland Spain the Costa Blanca is highly
geared to satisfy the needs of most visitors. A lot of people
just come to relax , soak up the sun and enjoy lazy days at the beach
followed by a siesta and an evening meal. For the more adventurous,
there are a whole host of leisure activities available to satisfy even
the most energetic visitors. We have compiled a list of some of the
most popular attractions offered by excursion specialists Isango.
Apartrent have
teamed up with Isango who we believe are the best online excursion
agents available, to provide you with a comprehensive list of
activities.
WHY
BOOK ONLINE?
There
are a number of advantages in pre booking online. Price is one
good reason. Isango are confident that they offer the cheapest
prices you'll find, even at the destination. To back this up,
they offer a double the difference refund if you find the same product
cheaper within three days of booking. Another good reason for pre
booking online, is the peace of mind to be gained knowing that your
ticket is already reserved and not having to worry booking when you
arrive. Tours do sell out so why take the chance? and anyway, do
you really want to spend your valuable holiday time hunting around for
excursions to book? What better way to surprise somebody than
with an excursion gift, easily achievable with online booking but very
difficult trying to sneak off when on holiday to try and book
something in secret. There's also the convenience of browsing
through the activities from your armchair.
GOLF
There are now many
golf courses stretching the whole length of the Costa Blanca
from Torrevieja in the south, right up to Denia. Some are
members only, others require a handicap and some have no restrictions.
Wherever you're staying, you shouldn't be too far away from a good
course.
BEACHES
Some of the best
beaches in Europe are available on this stretch of coast. Most
are blue flag and are kept meticulously clean by an army of workers.
Two of the best beaches on the Costa Blanca are the Poniente and
Levante beaches in Benidorm.
