The hotel is a good base if you do not want to be in the centre of Alicante The hotels is a taxi, bus, tram ride from the centre of Alicante. The staff were very helpful but apart from the receptionist speak little English, so you must have a smattering of Spanish to be understood. It is clean and friendly and only a few minutes walk to the bus stop or 10 mins to the tram stop, the tram is only two stops to the centre of Alicante. The hotel is situated in part of another building, but it is not noisy and we had a good stay. The room was large and clean and the bed comfy, with new / refurbished bathrooms

Room price was OK. Service was terrible! Slow reception, and the restaurant was even worse. Dirty tablecloth, and the food was not worth eating. They took double price, and just said "sorry". Absolutely NOT recommendable for others, unless you are willing to wait some time in the reception. After all, the room was OK.

We did not feel the door onto the balcony was secure enough particularly as we were on ground level.

The food let this stunning hotel down The hotel, location/ area, cleanliness are excellent. A nice walk or 1.15 euro on the bus to Alicant or Playa san Joan. The bar and restaurant look stunning but the breakfast, lunch & dinner options are all equally disappointing. However, the large gin and tonic's make up for it!
